Whether we move with pain or with pleasure dictates our sense of health and wellbeing.
But achieving easy, light, free movement can be frustrating when...
- every "exercise" program contradicts the last one
- you've recovered from injury, but still don't feel 100% free
- you daily life makes it hard to make time for yourself
Everyone has the capacity for movement that is supportive, strong and easy, but so often we get stuck in the loop of our habits, which are the very things holding us back from our goals in the first place!
The best way to break through your limiting patterns of movement (and thinking), is to work with a teacher who knows you, your body and your goals at a deeply personal level.
I work with people who feel stuck in their bodies, in their current limitations, and support them individually to find the kind of freedom that sustains their unique lifestyle.
Imagine an hour long "class" in which...
- Every movement is thought out to support your goals and your needs.
No more modifications or limitations
- Every question you have is addressed immediately.
No more guessing if this is how "it's supposed to feel
- You go deep into your favorite parts of your practice
Every part is your favorite part!
I know firsthand the physical, mental and emotional effects of going from pain and limitation to comfort and freedom. At age 15, after sustaining a debilitating neck injury, I went from practicing dance and yoga six times a week to not being able to do my own hair, or get a dish out of a cabinet for several months.
Suddenly, I stopped thinking about movement as aesthetic or athletic and instead understood it as the foundation for living one's best life.
Since then, I've studied every method I can get my hands on. In 2018 I began to teach private yoga sessions for people who feel, as I felt at one point, like they are capable of more if they could just get past their initial blocks.
The results astounded me. To this day, teaching private sessions is my absolute favorite way to engage with students. I feel so honored to be part of their journey to health and joy.
Whenever you have an hour to set aside. We base our sessions on your schedule.

You're frustrated by not being able to participate in moving the way you'd like.
You've done yoga or other exercise for awhile, but just feel like you're not seeing progress off the mat.
You value how much daily movement affects your health, and you want to keep moving healthfully for a long time.
Look, the truth is we need to stop looking everywhere outside of yourself for the answers only you have.
You have a unique body, a unique brain and a unique lifestyle.
Over the course of our sessions, you'll not only gain the strength and mobility from your movements...
...but most importantly, you'll gain critical, embodied understanding of how you move, so that you can move with ease, freedom and joy on and off your mat.
I've taught many students now in many configurations, and there is just no relationship like the one I develop with students who dive in to private sessions.
Every moment of your session is tailor made for you. Your goals. Your needs. Your questions. Your life. No two students sessions look alike.
So, if you're curious to know more about what private sessions could do FOR YOU, let's start talking. I'm happy to hear all your questions.
We'll start with a no obligation conversation where I will ask you about your lifestyle and your goals. I'll also answer any questions you have for me. If we decide we're a good fit, we'll set up your first session time.
Obviously, here is the bread and butter. Each session, you'll receive an hour of individualized attention and instruction. We'll move confidently towards your movement goals and celebrate your progress all along the way.
After our first few sessions, we'll set up another time to have a brief conversation about how the sessions are going for you, where you are feeling good, and what else we can do to meet your goals.
Our main focus is to give you an enriching and supportive experience on your mat that you can benefit from off your mat.
For virtual sessions, You'll be given access to a recording of our sessions so that you can download and re-watch them at any time. Optionally, you can receive a custom website to host all your recordings for you automatically.
I encourage you by reaching out with some ideas for your week, and invite you to reach back with any questions for me. I'm here for you every step of the way.
In this brief conversation, I'll ask you some specific questions to get to the heart of your goals and what may be holding you back from them.
For utmost accessibility to your session recordings, to scheduling tools, and to me directly, you can receive a unique website to host all of this in one place. This is a great option to get the most out of your private sessions (especially for those who want less tech in their lives).
1 hour of individual attention and instruction to support you on and off your mat.
In order to maintain deeply focused on my private students' progress, I can only take on a handful of students at one time.
This creates a rich experience for my students, but does mean that I do not always have room for new students in my schedule.
Currently, I have availability to take on new private students! So if now feels like the right time for you to dive into personalized support, I'd recommend starting with a free consultation while spots are still open.
At some point in most all of my consults, I find myself saying: You are worth it! You, your health, your sense of yourself is WORTH IT! Whether you decide to do sessions with me or something else entirely, please do something GUILT FREE for yourself. If you need it, I'm giving you full permission :)
Am I allowed to say everything? I teach group classes, and honestly it is a completely different skill and experience. In group classes, we go at the pace of the group and address a variety of needs.
Private Sessions are prepared specifically for you, but not set sequences. We start with a check-in about how you are feeling that day, what you're looking for out of your practice, and we directly address the habits that are holding you back from your goals.
Functional - in private sessions, I am always planning movement sequences around the functions that are most important to you, whether that is to rock climb or pick up your kids with ease. Between my training in the only yoga style developed by a physical therapist, my on-going training in the Feldenkrais Method, and my years of teaching, I am confident in the experience of function-focused movement.
What does this mean? Movement is hard to describe in words. Honestly, my best advice is to try a private session and feel the difference for yourself.
